After graduating at the top of his class from the Betty Ford School for Mimes*,
young Pete Thurston was in search of a new challenge. Having already mastered
the fine art of early-morning newspaper delivery, Pete decided that sports just
weren't for him. Having extrapolated the meaning of life from Night Court
episode #93 ["I'm OK, You're Catatonic / Schizophrenic"]**, Pete saw no further
need for a life of academia. Thus began Pete's music career.

His mind made up, Pete gave up on his house-breaking lessons and bought a guitar.
Since that fateful purchase, Pete has played anywhere that will let him, and
even some places that won't [most notably Reeves County Jail in Pecos, Texas.]
In addition to playing solo, Pete regularly plays in She Blonde Swede. Pete has
also worked with several local musicians, to include Jason Mraz.

How could Pete's music best be described? One word -

Acoustarockeypoppinfolktastical.

Some of the names that contributed to the
construction of the acoustarockeypoppinfolktastical sound are Elvis Costello,
Gregory Page, Jason Mraz, Radiohead, and Beck [in no particular order.]

Only one question remains - is Pete better than David Cassidy?

* to date, Pete Thurston is the only mime able to successfully escape
that invisible box that all mimes inevitably become trapped in.
